frostmilano.com is run by Frost Milano, an artist in Austin, Texas. This page says what the site keeps about you, why, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted. Questions go to [email protected].
What we keep
- Your account. A username, your email and your password. The password is stored only as a salted hash (PBKDF2), never as the password itself. We email you to confirm your address and to reset a password.
- Signing in with Google, Apple or Spotify. If you use one of these, we get your name and email from them and remember which account it was. With Spotify we also keep a token so the site can play music for you and, only when you press the button, follow an artist or save a playlist to your Spotify. You can cut it off from your Spotify account page at any time.
- Your game progress in the Elgin game: what you have unlocked, built and earned, and the name you play under. Scores you post to a daily game's board show your name to other players.
- Photos you upload to hang on your walls. Only you can see them, and you can delete them.
- Bar check-ins. When you tap in at a bar, your phone may share its location so we can tell you are really there. We keep only how far away you were and how accurate the reading was, never the spot itself.
- Tips. Card tips are typed on Stripe's own page; we never see or keep your card number. We keep the amount, the act, the bar and the night, so we can pass the tip on and show your receipt. Venmo and Cash App tips go straight to the band and we never learn about them.
- Mailing lists. Your email, if you sign up for news from Frost or one of the other acts on the site.
- Music you send to Frost Radio. The track, your artist name, the song title and the socials you give us.
- The guestbook. The name and message you write there are public.
- Visit counts. Which rooms people open and which links they press (a bar's Instagram, an act's Spotify), tied to a random ID made by your browser, and to your username if you are signed in. These counts show bars, acts and sponsors that the site sends people their way.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
- We do not keep your IP address. It is used only for an hour, to stop people hammering the sign-in.
- We do not keep your card number or your exact location.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its data.
- Stripe takes card tips.
- Resend sends the site's emails.
- Google, Apple and Spotify, only if you sign in with them.
- ElevenLabs makes the radio DJ's voice. When your track is approved for Frost Radio, your artist name and song title go to it, so the DJ can introduce you.
Each of them has its own privacy policy.
Cookies and storage
The site stores your game save and settings in your own browser, and keeps a small cookie that remembers your phone for tips and check-ins. Clearing your browser's data for this site removes them. Signing out empties the save from that device.
How long we keep it
Your account and what is attached to it stay until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Tip records are kept for our books.
Your choices
- Delete your account, or get a copy of what we hold about you: email [email protected] from the address on the account.
- Leave a mailing list, or have a guestbook message or a radio track taken down: email the same address.
- Delete a photo yourself, any time.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
When the site starts keeping something new, this page changes, and the date at the top moves.
